1. When did the 5th amendment of the German Packaging Ordinance come into force?

The 5th amendment of the German Packaging Ordinance dated 2 April 2008 was announed on 4 April 2008 in the German Federal Law Gazette. As of 1 January 2009 the 5th amendment came into force with two exceptions:

• The new „declaration of completeness“ (VE) came into force on 5 April 2008
• The extension of the deposit obligations for specific non-returnable beverage packaging for dietary drinks came into force on 1 April 2009
