Reconomy, the international circular economy specialist, announces the acquisition of<\/span> American Outsourced Waste and Recycling (AOWR)<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

Headquartered in East Hartford, Connecticut, AOWR is a leading outsourced waste management business with a national network of more than 8,000 vendors and customers throughout the US and Canada. It provides a wide range of managed waste services specialising in retail, entertainment, logistics and restaurant segments. <\/span><\/p>

USA as a market with great potential<\/h3>

This latest transaction is in line with the Company\u2019s strategic priorities to gain a leading position in the US to capitalise on the significant opportunities in this market. The region produces 10x more waste than the UK, yet has linear resource chains, low recycling rates and an over-reliance on landfill and incineration. The serviceable US waste management market is estimated at $130bn \u2013 170bn and is growing at 4-6% p.a*. <\/span><\/p>

It marks Reconomy\u2019s third US acquisition completed this year following the acquisitions of Complete Solutions & Sourcing<\/span><\/a> and Waste Focus<\/span><\/a> announced in January and brings the total number of US acquisitions completed to five.<\/p>

Reconomy\u2019s US strategy is being built around Lincoln Waste Solutions, a leading waste and recycling management firm with hundreds of major retail and Fortune 500 clients. Acquired in August 2024, this was Reconomy\u2019s first acquisition in North America. The addition of AOWR adds further capabilities, capacity, headcount and customers to Lincoln\u2019s growing operations and will help it ramp up growth and scale across the US. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
