Howe\u00adver, as it sets dif\u00adfe\u00adrent dates for indi\u00advi\u00addu\u00adal rules within the Regu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adon, the\u00adse will come into effect at dif\u00adfe\u00adrent times. An important date \u2013   <\/span><strong><span lang=\"DE-DE\" xml:lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">18 August 2025<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"DE-DE\" xml:lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u2013 is approa\u00adching, on which various sti\u00adpu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons will beco\u00adme man\u00adda\u00adto\u00adry. Our over\u00adview out\u00adlines the key chan\u00adges for pro\u00addu\u00adcers, importers and dis\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtors, and explains whe\u00adre action is requi\u00adred. <\/span> <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2b69323 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2b69323\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Batt\u00adVO defi\u00adnes new bat\u00adtery cate\u00adgo\u00adries<\/h3><p><span lang=\"DE-DE\" xml:lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">The revi\u00adsed bat\u00adtery clas\u00adsi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon is a key ele\u00adment of the Bat\u00adtery Regu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adon. The num\u00adber of bat\u00adtery types has been increased from three to five, adding   <\/span><strong><span lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">elec\u00adtric vehic\u00adle bat\u00adte\u00adries<\/span><\/strong> <span lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">and<\/span><span lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\"> <strong>light means of trans\u00adport bat\u00adte\u00adries<\/strong><\/span>, e.g. <strong><span lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">LMT bat\u00adte\u00adries<\/span><\/strong>.  <\/p><ul><li>The cate\u00adgo\u00adry name for por\u00adta\u00adble bat\u00adte\u00adries will remain unch\u00adan\u00adged. <\/li><li><span lang=\"DE-DE\" xml:lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">Ins\u00adtead of indus\u00adtri\u00adal bat\u00adte\u00adries, the\u00adre are now three bat\u00adtery cate\u00adgo\u00adries.<\/span> <\/li><li><span lang=\"DE-DE\" xml:lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">Auto\u00admo\u00adti\u00adve bat\u00adte\u00adries will be ren\u00ada\u00admed start\u00ading, light\u00ading and igni\u00adti\u00adon bat\u00adte\u00adries (SLI bat\u00adte\u00adries).<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8d3157f elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"8d3157f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"455\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noventiz.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/graphic-EU-Battery-Regulation-1024x582.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-18122\" alt=\"Graphic showing new battery categories in the BattVO\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.noventiz.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/graphic-EU-Battery-Regulation-1024x582.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.noventiz.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/graphic-EU-Battery-Regulation-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/www.noventiz.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/graphic-EU-Battery-Regulation-768x436.png 768w, https:\/\/www.noventiz.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/graphic-EU-Battery-Regulation.png 1100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\">\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-26b66f6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"26b66f6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span lang=\"DE-DE\" xml:lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">This chan\u00adge means that all pro\u00addu\u00adcers will need to take action. In the stif\u00adtung ear\u2019s por\u00adtal, pro\u00addu\u00adcers must update their regis\u00adtra\u00adti\u00adons to ensu\u00adre they com\u00adply with the latest sti\u00adpu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons. Anyo\u00adne who fails to do so within the spe\u00adci\u00adfied time peri\u00adod (18 August 2025 to 15 Janu\u00adary 2026) risks having their exis\u00adting regis\u00adtra\u00adti\u00adons wai\u00adved.  <\/span> <\/p><h3>All bat\u00adtery cate\u00adgo\u00adries are sub\u00adject to man\u00adda\u00adto\u00adry par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adti\u00adon <\/h3><p>Under the new Bat\u00adtery Regu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adon, Exten\u00added Pro\u00addu\u00adcer Respon\u00adsi\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty includes the obli\u00adga\u00adti\u00adon to join a pro\u00addu\u00adcer respon\u00adsi\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty orga\u00adni\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adon (PRO). A PRO must be desi\u00adgna\u00adted for each bat\u00adtery cate\u00adgo\u00adry and recor\u00added in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stiftung-ear.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stif\u00adtung ear\u2019s por\u00adtal.<\/a>  <\/p><h3>stif\u00adtung ear\u2019s por\u00adtal: Addi\u00adtio\u00adnal report\u00ading obli\u00adga\u00adti\u00adons <\/h3><p>As well as trans\u00adfer\u00adring pre\u00advious\u00adly repor\u00adted bat\u00adtery types into the new bat\u00adtery cate\u00adgo\u00adries and desi\u00adgna\u00adting a PRO, manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adr\u00aders must also pro\u00advi\u00adde infor\u00adma\u00adti\u00adon on the che\u00admis\u00adtry of their bat\u00adte\u00adries in the stif\u00adtung ear\u2019s por\u00adtal. In addi\u00adti\u00adon, sup\u00adp\u00adly\u00ading a VAT iden\u00adti\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon num\u00adber is now man\u00adda\u00adto\u00adry.  <\/p><h3>Aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adsed repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adves requi\u00adred for pro\u00addu\u00adcers based abroad <\/h3><p>Accor\u00adding to the Bat\u00adtery Regu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adon, pro\u00addu\u00adcers who\u00adse regis\u00adtered com\u00adpa\u00adny office is loca\u00adted out\u00adside of Ger\u00adma\u00adny will be requi\u00adred, from 18 August 2025 onwards, to appoint an aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adsed repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adve if they place bat\u00adte\u00adries on the Ger\u00adman mar\u00adket. This aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adsed repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adve will take on all of the producer\u2019s obli\u00adga\u00adti\u00adons, inclu\u00adding com\u00adple\u00adting regis\u00adtra\u00adti\u00adon in the stif\u00adtung ear\u2019s por\u00adtal.  <\/p><p>We are hap\u00adpy to offer this ser\u00advice to our cli\u00adents. A valid regis\u00adtra\u00adti\u00adon is man\u00adda\u00adto\u00adry for pla\u00adcing bat\u00adte\u00adries on the Ger\u00adman mar\u00adket.  <\/span> <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-20333e0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"20333e0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Com\u00adpa\u00adnies based abroad <\/h3><p><span lang=\"DE-DE\" xml:lang=\"DE-DE\" data-contrast=\"auto\">Once the revi\u00adsed Bat\u00adtery Regu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adon has come into force, com\u00adpa\u00adnies who\u00adse regis\u00adtered office is loca\u00adted abroad, but who nevert\u00adhel\u00adess place bat\u00adte\u00adries on the Ger\u00adman mar\u00adket, will be requi\u00adred to appoint an aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adsed repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adve. They may sel\u00adect and man\u00adda\u00adte an aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adsed repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adve bet\u00adween 1 April and 18 August 2025. The aut\u00adho\u00adri\u00adsed repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adve must have com\u00adple\u00adted the regis\u00adtra\u00adti\u00adon of the for\u00adeign com\u00adpa\u00adny in the stif\u00adtung ear\u2019s por\u00adtal by 18 August 2025, other\u00adwi\u00adse the company\u2019s ent\u00adry in the por\u00adtal will be dele\u00adted.
