Under the German Packaging Act, the \u2018producer\u2019 is not the company that made the empty packaging. Instead, it\u2019s the business that first places goods in their packaging and puts them into circulation for commercial purposes. This could be a retailer, importer or marketplace operator, for example. You have to license your packaging every year. Once you have registered with the LUCID Packaging Register and entered your packaging into the dual system, you are obliged to submit annual reports.   <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">These include:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><ul><li aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-leveltext=\"\uf02d\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Forecast reports<\/span><\/b> <span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">or <\/span><\/span>planned <b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">volume reports<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> at the end of the year, indicating the volumes expected for the following year.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-leveltext=\"\uf02d\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">During the year, a<\/span> <b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">report on the actual packaging volume<\/span><\/b>,<span data-contrast=\"auto\"> an interim report on the packaging volume put into circulation to date.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-leveltext=\"\uf02d\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Supplementary packaging volume reports<\/span><\/b> <span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in case the actual packaging volume put into circulation exceeds the previous year\u2019s forecast. <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Not submitting regular reports puts you at risk of penalties. The obligation to register is not tied to the sector or the size of the business. There is also no obligation to show waste sorting advice and the LUCID number.
