Here’s what Noventiz employees say

Interview with Sonja Gernhardt, Human Resources at the Noventiz Group on how to make your application a success

I’m the Head of Human Resources and Organisation. I joined Noventiz about 16 years ago and have been actively involved in developing the company’s staff structure and organisation – that’s rather special. I’m the point of contact for candidates and potential candidates, answering all their questions – and those of all employees, of course. I love the variety and flexibility of my job and I really enjoy working with people. You get to meet a lot of interesting people and hear their stories, especially during the recruitment process.

I find it helpful to include a personal cover letter with an application. It shows that you are genuinely interested and is a great addition to the CV, which is more of a factual outline of your background. A cover letter adds a personal touch to your application. You are welcome to submit your application in digitally – our process does not require a paper copy, and a digital version saves resources. And if you have any questions, just let us know. The best way to contact me is by e‑mail.

I would recommend that you find out about Noventiz by visiting our website. We regularly post about our company on our LinkedIn channel, so that’s another good source to get a first impression. If you have any unanswered questions, write them down and ask them during the interview.

Candidates should think about how best to present themselves and why they would be a good fit for the role. Feeling nervous or excited during the job interview is normal and nothing to worry about. If you’re feeling very stressed, taking a deep breath can help. Other than that, I would just recommend being yourself.

We usually invite candidates to come to our Marsdorf office in person for an initial interview. Apart from myself, the head of the relevant Noventiz department will be present, so it’s a small group. The interview lasts about an hour. Once we have introduced ourselves, the candidate will have the opportunity to tell us about themself. We will then introduce our company and describe the role in more detail. There will be plenty of time for further questions and discussion. At the end of the interview, I will explain the general conditions of the potential employment contract.

The most important thing is that you’re comfortable. In my view, there is no need for a suit and tie – unless it makes you feel more at ease. Personally wouldn’t go for a faded, tattered T‑shirt, though. I would recommend dressing neat and tidy in a way that is authentic and comfortable.

Personally, I like it that my job is very flexible and that I can work independently. The option to work from home and flexible hours makes Noventiz a family-friendly employer that supports a healthy work-life balance. What’s more, Noventiz offers jobs with a purpose in a forward-looking industry.

Just go ahead and send us your application! We will see in the interview if it would be a good fit. I’m more than happy to receive unsolicited applications. We are growing all the time and sometimes a potential job may not be advertised yet.
