#TeamNoventiz at the Rhine Clean Up
Equipped with bags and tongs, we did not let ourselves be deterred yesterday despite the pouring rain and carried out a special action together as #TeamNoventiz: As part of our Clean Up Day, we cleaned up the banks of the Rhine and actively campaigned for a cleaner environment. Because every day, a tonne of rubbish floats into the North Sea in the Rhine – a frightening reality that we cannot stand idly by.
After 1 hour we had already collected 59 kg of rubbish, including:
- A lot of glass
- Several cigarette butts & e‑cigarettes
- Lots of light packaging
- Handkerchiefs & crown caps
- Electrical waste
- A balloon hanging high up in a tree
- Some kind of yoga mat
These finds highlight the importance of raising awareness and actively tackling pollution. Even though we may have only made a small difference to the community with the action, the day certainly had a big impact on us.

Sustainability at the core of our services
Sustainability is already at the core of the diverse services we offer. As the operator of a dual system, we ensure that packaging can be recycled and returned to the circular economy. In this way, recyclable materials are not lost and the amount of waste sent to landfill or incineration is reduced. This positive effect can even be calculated: The collection, collection and recycling of used packaging saves about 1.95 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents** annually.
